Over the last 20+ years, I’ve had the honor and privilege of working with award-winning designers, excellent remodeling contractors, and countless discerning homeowners. Here are some generous words from a few of them.

Chris Harmon with Octant Woodworks produced beautifully crafted millwork for a very particular project in the French Quarter. The details were tricky and complicated, including a bathroom that was entered through a louvered armoire! Chris embraced the project with curiosity and dedication, working out details through shop drawings and site meetings. The results were executed with skill and precision yet still captured the charm of artisanal woodwork.

Octant Woodworks has been my go to for built-ins, millwork, and fine finish carpentry for nearly a decade. Chris' craftsmanship and attention to detail are first class and he has a great eye for design. My clients love working with him, and as a busy contractor, being able to leave customers in his hands and know they'll be pleased is priceless.

I met Chris via a client and was so grateful to have met him. He made beautiful bookcases for our showroom that showcases our fabrics and wallpaper. He also made stunning sliding doors with stained glass that I had designed and custom bed for an attic room creating a luxury retreat. What I love about Chris is his never ending effort to make a job perfect with thoughtful details. He is professional and respectful of time with projects delivered in a timely manner. When he told me he was leaving New Orleans I was so sad. I hope he finds success wherever he goes and fills the world with his beautiful work.

We did an extensive renovation in our home and consider ourselves very lucky to have had Chris doing finish carpentry work. His skills are truly excellent and apparent in everything that he built, he was terrific to work with, and the end products look beautiful and have held up extremely well. I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. He was able to meet with us whenever we needed to discuss various project details, and he was able to follow through with what we had hoped for or envisioned in every instance.

Chris's work is exceptional! His attention to detail and craft elevated our project in ways I didn't anticipate. In our 100 year old house, he was able to match the historic millwork detail perfectly over multiple custom doors, transoms, cabinets, and bookshelves. He also built us a beautiful bathroom vanity from restored lath saved during our demolition. Chris offered functional suggestions on layout and design throughout. We are very grateful to have worked with him and wish he still lived in New Orleans!

I was very pleased with your consistency, dedication, and work ethic to not just get it done, but more importantly, get it right, and take our feedback.
