Hi! I’m Chris Harmon, owner and operator of Octant Woodworks.

I’ve been obsessed with building beautiful woodwork for beautiful houses for over 30 years.

As a child, I’d tag along with my dad in his woodworking shop, building all sorts of tacky do-dads! By high school, I was building basic furniture, speakers, and electric guitars.

I started working in construction during summers through high school and college.

Born and raised in New Orleans, I started my first remodeling company in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Starting as a general remodeling company, in 2015 I pivoted to millwork, cabinetry, and finish carpentry exclusively.

Over the last 20 years I’ve had the honor and privilege of working on hundreds of beautiful historic homes, trusted by discerning clients to bring their architectural vision to life.

My goal is to build you the highest quality, most beautiful woodwork possible, without any of the stress and frustration that so often comes with construction projects.
